It was a really strange feeling to be at the starting area with prepared racing skis and warm body ready to race – and suddenly get information that the Birkebeiner 2014 is cancelled! A bit hard to accept at first, but for sure you have to think at the security first of all. Still it’s 17000 skiers going over the mountains and now it were heavy wind on the top. So we are really sorry for the organisation since it was a lot of snow and blue sky! Could have been really good conditions for skiing..!
Well, back home again we look ahead for what is coming up! Next weekend I really want to do the 50 km Swedish Championship in Åsarna and for sure the SkiClassics final in Årefjällsloppet weekend after.
